Quick guidance for students, teachers and admins using iMedia Genius.

Signing in

Use your school-approved email address to create an account or sign in. If you are new to the platform, follow the on-screen registration steps and verify your email address if prompted.

Teacher approval

Teacher accounts may need admin approval before full access is granted. If your teacher account is waiting for approval, please contact your school administrator.

Joining a class

Students usually join a class using the code provided by their teacher. Once joined, assigned worksheets and related resources should appear inside the app.

Worksheets and progress

Your answers and worksheet progress are saved inside the platform. If something looks out of date, try refreshing the page or signing out and back in again.

Badges and engagement

Badges and engagement views depend on the features enabled for your role and account. Some tracking-related features may only work if the relevant tracking choice has been allowed.

R097 Website Creation Tool

The R097 Website Creation Tool (in the main navigation once you are signed in) turns your own wireframes and plans into editable HTML pages. It will not invent a website for you — you bring the design, it does the typing. When you open the tool, pick one of the big buttons: Continue my website (your work saves automatically, even between lessons), Start a new website from my wireframes, or I already have HTML files.

Step 1 — Turn my wireframes into web pages

  1. Give your website a title and describe what each page should show, including where the buttons and navigation should link. Use the Show me an example button if you are not sure what to write.
  2. Upload photos or screenshots of your wireframe drawings (1–8 images, each under 4 MB). You get one web page per wireframe.
  3. List the exact file names of the images, videos and sounds you will use, one per line — spelling matters.
  4. Add optional style notes and press Generate my web pages. It can take a minute or two.

Step 2 — Edit my pages visually

  1. Upload your HTML files (or load the pages you just generated), then click anything on the page to change it.
  2. Text: click it and just type. Images and videos: click one, then swap it for another file or drag the width slider. Colours and position: pick them in the panel on the right — changes show instantly.
  3. Use ＋ Add block to add sections, galleries, buttons or a contact form, and 🎨 Page style to change the whole page's colours and font.
  4. Made a mistake? Press ↩ Undo (or Ctrl+Z). Deleting something can always be undone.

If you would rather describe changes than click, use Ask AI to fix or improve (tick what you want done) or Chat to change things (type it like a message):

Ask AI to fix or improve

  1. Upload the HTML pages you already have (up to 8 files, each under 350 KB).
  2. Tick what you want fixed or added — broken links, image galleries, quizzes, rollover buttons and more.
  3. List your asset file names, explain what you want in your own words, and press the button.

Chat to change my pages

  1. Upload your HTML pages once, then type what you want to change like you are sending a message. You can paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V to show what you mean.
  2. After the first reply, tick Keep working on the files from this chat to carry on without re-uploading.

Understanding the preview

After each run you get a live preview of your pages. Grey dashed boxes show where your image, video and audio files will appear — they display the exact file name each spot expects. Links between pages only work after you download and unzip the website.

Step 3 — After you download

  1. Download the ZIP and unzip it (right-click, Extract All).
  2. Keep the assets folder in the same folder as your HTML files — do not rename or move it.
  3. Copy your real images, videos and sounds into the assets folder using the exact file names you listed.
  4. Open index.html in a web browser to test it, then edit it in Dreamweaver.

Troubleshooting

  • Pictures not showing after download? Check the spelling of your file names and make sure the assets folder sits next to your HTML files.
  • Upload rejected? Wireframe images must be under 4 MB each; HTML files must be under 350 KB each, with at most 8 files at a time.
  • The tool refused your request? It needs more of your own design detail — add a wireframe, an asset list or a clearer page description.
  • Forgot how it works? Press How do I use this? at the top of the tool to replay the built-in walkthrough.
